The Hong Kong Palaeontology Research Centre offers thematic lectures and scientific exchange for schools, tertiary institutions, educational organisations, museums, and public platforms.
Our content is built on first-hand research experience, fieldwork, and current developments in palaeontology, enabling participants understand dinosaurs, fossils, evolutionary biology, and Earth history from a scientist’s perspective. Lectures center on the questions that audiences find most compelling, such as whether dinosaurs are truly extinct, how palaeontologists live and search for fossils in the field, and how scientists use new technologies to reconstruct extinct life. Themes include dinosaur research, fieldwork, the history of international dinosaur research, modern palaeontological methods, and the journey into becoming a palaeontologist.
